Will having other sources of funding or income affect my application?

No. Itemizing other sources of funding allows the reviewer of your application to better understand how much money you need and for what item you need the money the most. For example: Your advisor can pay for the plane ticket and conference registration but cannot pay for your lodging. It is in your best interest to specify what your professor can fund so that the PEG could try to fund the other costs.  Indicating that you have applyed for, or received other sources of funding may actually benefit your application. This is considered a positive factor and can improve the presentation of the application.

What items am I allowed to ask for funding?

The PEGs are executed on a reimbursement basis. This means that you can apply for funding for items that you normally get reimbursed for. Check http://www.clemson.edu/procurement, click on the link Travel in the sidebar, then Employee Travel Guidelines for more information.

How will my PEG application be judged?

  • Benefit to Clemson University
