Clemson University offers both PhD and MS degrees in Biological Science. The Biological Sciences program encompasses a wide variety of disciplines in both plant and animal biology. Three major emphasis areas are identified within these degree programs:  Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, Cell and Developmental Biology, Comparative Organismal Biology.

The department emphasizes basic, discovery-based scholarship.
