MA
The Master of Arts program in Economics is designed to help students become adept at using economic theory in order to formulate and test hypotheses about any aspect of social interaction. The curriculum stresses the development of analytical skills, as well as how to identify key questions in economics and use theoretical and empirical tools to answer them.

PhD
The Ph.D. program in Applied Economics is offered jointly by the faculties of the John E. Walker Department of Economics and the Department of Applied Economics and Statistics with the degree granted in the College of Business and Behavioral Science.
Applicants to the PhD program should have a strong background in economic theory and econometrics. The program has required fields in these areas. Students choose two additional concentrations from topics like industrial organization, labor economics, public policy, and more.
