MS*, PhD

The Department of Genetics and Biochemistry offers the MS and PhD in Genetics. Research activities within these programs include biochemical, biometrical, molecular, and population genetics, as well as bioinformatics, breeding, cytogenetics, and structural and functional genomics. Graduate students have access to well-equipped conventional and specialized research laboratories, including a DNA-sequencing facility and a monoclonal antibody facility.

Students interested in the Genetics program should have completed basic undergraduate courses in biology, chemistry or physical chemistry, physics, and genetics. More information about admission requirements and curricula is available at the Department of Genetics and Biochemistry website.
