Real Estate Development

MRED

Clemson’s Master of Real Estate Development program provides a solid foundation of art and science. The program provides students interested in becoming development entrepreneurs with the education and skills needed to produce vibrant, quality projects that respect environmental and economic sustainability, social consciousness, design excellence and financial feasibility.

The program primarily follows the principles of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), which acknowledges that development is a public-private partnership and that quality development requires integrating the perspectives of community, environment, and economics. The MRED program uses an array of teaching formats including lectures, seminars, workshops and field work, computers, video and slides, case studies, tours and extensive class participation. The interdisciplinary nature of the MRED degree incorporates courses from MBA, finance, law, city and regional planning, architecture, and construction science and management.
