Peace Corps Master's International Programs

The Peace Corps Master’s International (PCMI) Program is a cooperative effort between Clemson University and the Peace Corps. PCMI students complete approximately one year of intensive on-campus study in one of three academic programs, then serve for 27 months in the Peace Corps in an assignment related to that academic program.

Program Benefits

  • Peace Corps service offers you the international experience often needed to obtain employment in developing countries

  • Your Peace Corps service is credited for 2-12 credit hours, depending on the selected major, and is the basis for your research-based project paper

  • Service fulfills departmental internship requirements

  • Language training received during your Peace Corps service may be applied toward selected departmental credits

  • Peace Corps service provides US Government noncompetitive eligibility for returning volunteers

  • All out-of-state Program candidates will receive in-state tuition rates.
