Clemson University offers a Master’s of Education in Reading through the Eugene T. Moore School of Education. The purpose of an MEd degree in Reading is to educate reading professionals who have an in-depth knowledge of reading theories, processes, strategies, curriculum, and research and who can use that knowledge to plan appropriate reading programs and curricula for a variety of contexts and communicate information to a wide variety of audiences.

Students have an opportunity to specialize in the following specific literacy area: (a) Reading Teacher & Reading Consultant and Reading Recovery Training, (b) Reading Teacher & Reading Consultant; (c) Reading Teacher, Reading Consultant & Reading Coordinator/Director, and (d) Early Literacy Emphasis: Reading Teacher and Reading Consultant. The faculty members in Reading ensure a vigorous course of study in a collegial and relaxed environment.
