Visual Arts

MFA

The Master of Fine Arts degree is the terminal degree in the visual arts. Clemson University's program offers concentrations in the studio areas of drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, photography, and sculpture. Interdisciplinary and collaborative projects are encouraged within the department. Because the program is relatively small, students have the opportunity to explore studio areas other than their concentration. The program size also creates a highly individualized method of instruction.

Graduates of the program have been exposed to learning processes related to studio practice as well as historical/contemporary context for their work.
